Frankenmuth Brewery Merchandise & Flyers
Frankenmuth Brewery is a micro-brewery that prides itself on being the oldest microbrewery in Michigan, being open since 1862. It is a destination for craft beer lovers as well as families touring the Bavarian settlement town of Frankenmuth. In need of more family friendly graphics, I designed this t-shirt and sticker graphic depicting their wiener dog mascot "Frankie" in aviator shades and a leather jacket carrying a large pretzel—one of the brewery's most popular appetizers— against a neon-colored brick wall, in a comic book-inspired art style.
Frankenmuth Brewery is an especially popular tourist destination around the holiday season. New merchandise was designed for the holidays including the sweatshirt design above. While it is made to look like an "ugly Christmas sweater," its imagery is not inherently Christmas themed, so that it could also be enjoyed by those who do not celebrate Christmas. This was a somewhat important factor, as the brewery has customers that come from all over the world. The brewery's mascot, the wiener dogs, prance at the top of this sweater design reminiscent of reindeer, with other symbols referencing the brewery such as beer bottles and Oktoberfest mugs. Aside from merchandise, I also created print and social media advertisements for the brewery's events and specials.
